Pure Air Control Services (PACS) is a medically disciplined, solution-oriented, environmental science, laboratory and remediation firm having serviced over 350 million square feet of building environments. The Building Sciences Team at PACS is a highly specialized group that provides IEQ testing consultation, on-site IEQ investigations, Phase I and Phase II environmental evaluations and Building Health Check™.

Phase I - A walk through audit of the building follows a meeting with key business personnel. All registered health complaints are evaluated in strict confidence. A report is provided outlining general findings.

Phase II - A more in depth analysis includes air and surface samples evaluated for suspected contaminants and environmental imbalances within the building.

Specialized instrumentation is used to evaluate building environments and conditions along with non-invasive imaging of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system for a thorough evaluation of the facility. PACS has a unique capability of providing the diagnostics, laboratory, remediation and post-remediation evaluation to ensure good indoor air quality is maintained.

A report is provided outlining test methods, general discussion of environmental testing parameters, an environmental summary including identification & concentration of contaminants, conclusions, recommendations, photographs, and a glossary.

Building Health Check™ - Our Building Sciences Department has now introduced the Building Health-Check™ Division. The Building Health-Check™ Division is staffed with professional Indoor Environmental Technicians that are fully trained for indoor environmental screen testing, utilizing effective sampling techniques, protocols, and HVAC assessments. A report is provided that contains laboratory methods, a laboratory analysis summary, laboratory results, recommended guidelines and healthy building considerations.

An initial proactive evaluation can be performed using the first response Indoor Air Quality - Screen Test Kit (IEQ-STK™), developed by the scientists at Pure Air Control Services, or a Phase I Building Audit performed by PACS diagnostics technicians. A Phase II evaluation is recommended when there is a concern for a suspected indoor contaminant, if Building Related Illness (BRI) exist, an IEQ worker's compensation claim or pending IEQ litigation are present.

If environmental remediation is performed within the building structure or HVAC system, the evaluation will serve as a baseline to ensure environmental effluents have been removed efficiently. A Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) monitoring program and a post-IEQ Building Remediation evaluation assures good indoor air quality is achieved during and after building remediation is performed.
